Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - There's only one way to kill a werewolf!
The Monster Squad was the best, and I mean the best in terms of successfully portraying the dreams of children on film. As stated in many other reviews, this film (along with the Goonies and E.T.) may be classified as 1 of the greatest films ever made. YES EVER MADE! This is because of the superb performances by the child stars, they were more mature than they looked (something that every child wants)! Also, they had such a passion for their mission along with a strong bond of friendship that tied them together. It made us as children believe that anything is possible! When I was a kid I could only wish to be as cool as these kids were! This is something that many other films that were simililar (Fright Night, Hook, and Explorers) could not live up to! Although it's just a movie and subconsiously the viewer knows that the monsters and the people are fake, THE ADVENTURE IS REAL!!!!!!! And that is the most important thing. I hope that they re-release this as soon as possible, especially on DVD! P.S. - "Rock until you drop", a song in the film, is sung by Michael Sembello!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The movie i have loved since i was a kid!
Monster Squad has so many good things about it its hard to find things wrong with it. It brings many life lessons with it. Here are the ten lessons i learned:
1.German people are scary, especially the "scary german guy".
    2.Wolfman has "nards".
3.The kid who smokes and wears a leather jacket is the coolest guy in the town.
4.Don't mess with the fat kid.
5.The Creature from the Black Lagoon is no match for a twelve gauge.
6.Make a clubhouse next to a house where a hot chick lives so you can spy on her when she undresses.
7.The mummy in your closet isn't real and even if he is your dad will never see him any ways.
    8.The army is always late.
9.Free movies await the person who lives close enough to a drive in.
    10.monster squad is a classic.
Well I think I've said enough, so buy it already and have fun laughin at crude 80's sayings and ridiculus fat jokes.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Monster Squad Is Great!
The Monster Squad is like The Goonies, but with your favorite Universal monsters. Monster Squad follows a group of kids who call themselves, The Monster Squad. They gather in a treehouse to discuss all things monster, and fear walking by Creepy German Guy's house. When the squad realizes that monsters are real, and are looking for a stone to begin world domination, they do everything to stop the world from being taken over. Even if it requires the help of Creepy German Guy. Of course, the best thing about The Monster Squad is the monsters. All of your favorites from the classic Universal movies are here. Dracula (portrayed wonderfully by Duncan Regehr) and his "brides," the Werewolf, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Mummy, and the all-time favorite, Frankenstein. I really like how they decided to portray ol' Frank as a gentle monster confused in his situation. The bond he shared with the little girl in the movie was also great, and made a tearful moment near the end of the movie. Oh, the ending. That's what really makes this movie a treasure. The final showdowns are always the best, but this one really shows how a final showdown should be done. If you're a fan of The Goonies and the Universal monsters, then check The Monster Squad out.
